What is Openpay?

Openpay is an app that makes it easy to pool money into a shared account, get a virtual card, and handle shared expenses without hassle.

How does the app work?

As the account manager, you create a shared account and send payment requests to members. The app automatically collects payments and sends reminders to those who haven't paid.

Do we need to have the same bank to use Openpay?

No, Openpay works independently of your bank, so everyone can participate, regardless of where their account is.

Is there a limit to how many members can join a shared account?

No, there’s no limit – you can invite as many members as you want.

How do members pay their share?

Members can pay via MitID and will receive automatic reminders until the payment is completed.

Can I get an overview of how the money is being used?

Yes, the app provides a full overview of all payments and expenses, so everyone can see how the money is being spent.

What if I paid on behalf of the group?

You can request reimbursement by selecting a transaction from your bank account or uploading a receipt. The account manager can then approve it or deduct the amount from the next payment request.

Can I use the money from the shared account directly?

Yes, with our virtual card, you can use the shared account's funds directly and add the card to Apple Pay for easy payments.
